Goodsync Connect Windows Shares

If you're looking to connect your Windows shares using GoodSync, this tutorial will guide you through the process of setting up and activating your account. Here are the steps to follow:

First, ensure that you have downloaded and installed GoodSync on your computer. Once installed, launch the application and click on Tools > GoodSync Account Setup.

Next, enter your account information and check the 'Offline mode' option. Click the 'Log In' button to proceed.

Goodsync will then generate an offline Activation Request. Close this window and click on Help > Activate License menu item.

Select the 'Activate via Browser (use only if this computer is offline)' option. If you're online, you can activate your account directly through the browser.

In the 'Direct Addressing setup' section, you can choose to place GoodSync Server Administrator account onto your server, allowing you to address it directly via IP address or name. This will enable you to access data located on the computer from other devices with GoodSync installed.

You will also need to specify credentials of a Windows account that may be needed to access your encrypted disks, shares, etc.

If you choose to 'Serve files to other devices', GoodSync will act as a server, allowing incoming requests. If unchecked, it will act as a client, making outgoing requests only.

Once you've completed these settings, click on the 'Close' button to finish setting up your account.

Next, you'll be prompted to specify the computer name and set up additional settings. Based on the 'Serve files to other devices' setting, GoodSync will act either as a server or a client.
